Ownership and operation

Trade Profit Lab is owned, developed, and operated by Brevard Cloud. References to Trade Profit Lab, we, us, or our in this policy refer to Brevard Cloud in its operation of this website.

Calculator use

You can run calculators without providing a name, email address, or account. Unsaved calculator inputs are processed to produce the result and are not placed in calculation history.

Saved calculations

When you explicitly save a calculation, Trade Profit Lab creates a random anonymous browser identifier in a secure, essential, HttpOnly cookie. The database stores only a one-way SHA-256 hash of each browser identifier along with your calculator inputs, calculated results, label, and timestamps.

Saved calculations are retained for up to 12 months after the collection was last used. A maximum of 50 calculations is retained per collection. You can rename or delete individual records, or use Delete all history to remove the entire collection from every restored browser.

Recovery codes

When a collection is first created, a recovery code is shown once. It can restore that collection on another browser or after cookies are cleared. The code is normalized and transformed with HMAC-SHA256 using a private server key; the plaintext recovery code is never stored. It is not placed in URLs, analytics, or application messages.

Anyone who has the recovery code can open, rename, and delete that collection, so keep it private. An existing restored browser can replace the code, which immediately revokes the old one. Deleting all history revokes the code and deletes the collection. A code also stops working when its collection expires after 12 months of inactivity.

Cookie and recovery limitations

There is no authenticated identity or email-based reset. The browser cookie opens history automatically on that browser. If both the cookie and recovery code are lost, Trade Profit Lab cannot recover the collection. Restoring another collection replaces which history opens automatically on that browser; it does not delete a previously saved collection.

Advertising and analytics

Trade Profit Lab uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic and how visitors use the calculators. Google Analytics may receive information such as pages visited, approximate location derived from network information, device and browser details, referral source, and interaction data. It may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement.

We use this information to evaluate and improve the site. Recovery codes are never sent to analytics, and calculator inputs, calculated results, and saved-calculation titles are not intentionally included in analytics events. Google processes Analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. You can learn more at Google's Privacy Policy and use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising integrations are not currently enabled. This policy will be updated before advertising services are activated.

Questions

The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA to reduce automated abuse. The reCAPTCHA widget communicates with Google and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service.
